Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and the clinical team, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient management of treatment plans. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, dental billing, insurance verification, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual abilities and clinic experience are highly valued to enhance patient service and office efficiency. The Treatment Plan Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional administrative support. Responsibilities Review and prepare treatment plans, ensuring accuracy in documentation and coding such as CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes. Verify insurance benefits and coverage and other third-party payers. Communicate treatment options effectively to patients, explaining procedures, costs, and insurance details with professionalism and clarity. Manage patient scheduling using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix; coordinate appointments efficiently. Assist with medical billing processes, including collection efforts for outstanding balances. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy; ensure proper coding for billing purposes. Support front desk operations by handling multi-line phone systems, patient intake, appointment confirmations, and providing excellent customer service. Collecting payments and handling daily front desk duties. Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, document review, and office management duties. Collaborate with clinical staff to develop comprehensive care plans aligned with patient needs. Qualifications
MINIMUM 3
years of experience in dental office administration. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification, and health information management systems. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in typing and data entry. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance in handling patient information. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and billing processes. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Outstanding communication skills including phone etiquette and patient service orientation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
