Children's Advocacy CenterPOSITION TITLE
Clinical DirectorPOSITION OBJECTIVE
The Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical oversight of mental Health therapists and interns within the Mental Health Program, as well as providing trauma focused therapy to children who have been victims of and traumatized by sexual abuse, physical abuse or witness to severe domestic violence. The Clinical Director will ensure Kids House policies and procedures are followed, and that only therapy of the highest quality is provided to the mental health clients of Kids House.REQUIREMENTS
The Clinical Director will hold, at a minimum, Licensure in the State of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist) with specialized training in child abuse and/or family trauma. He or she should have sufficient professional experience and certification in supervision, clinically directing other professionals with similar licenses or interns seeking licensure. He or she must have excellent organization and communication skills. The ideal candidate must be highly sensitive to the needs and welfare of children.Other Quality Ranking Factors:
Strong evaluation and assessment skills, clinical and crisis intervention skills Understanding of and the ability to provide appropriate diagnoses, per the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Orientation towards child and family-centered practice and systems theory Experience with and/or knowledge of play therapy Academic training or practical experience in and knowledge of developmental stages of children and the dynamics and effects of child abuse Excellent interpersonal skills in order to cooperatively, constructively and courteously relate to all clients, guests, staff and other MDT members Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all ages Knowledge and use of appropriate Professional Ethics and Standards in a Mental Health Discipline Knowledge of the child welfare system Strong documentation skills, with documentation completed timely and compliant with the Kids House Mental Health Program's Quality Assurance Standards Ability to provide objective supervision and feedback to clinical staff to ensure quality therapy is being provided to all Kids House Mental Health clients Ability to provide objective supervision and feedback to clinical staff to ensure documentation is being completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the Kids House Mental Health Program's Quality Assurance StandardsDUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Bio-psychosocial assessments, evaluation of trauma symptomology, treatment and discharge planning, individual, group and family therapy, documentation, file maintenance and quality assurance, understanding of Medicaid compliance, participation and cooperation among the Treatment Team and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, advocacy and case management (as needed for clients) and the creation and presentation of community training. Meet with clinical staff to provide clinical supervision a minimum of one time per month, participate in Quality Assurance file review, lead Treatment Team meetings (documenting cases discussed, clinical decisions made, as well as client screening decisions), model "best practice" in all areas of clinical work (discussion/processing of cases, documentation and compliance), monitor clinical staff supervision of intern, and provide input on clinical staff performance evaluations.RESPONSIBILITIES
Related to Therapist duties: Complete bio-psychosocial assessments with an emphasis on the evaluation of trauma symptomology Complete treatment and discharge planning Conduct individual, group and family therapy Complete documentation/file maintenance in a timely manner Demonstrate an understanding of Medicaid compliance Participation in Multi-Disciplinary Teams or other staffings as needed Provide advocacy and case management (as needed for clients) Related to Clinical Supervisor duties: Meet with clinical staff to provide clinical supervision a minimum of one time per month Provide feedback to the Chief Program Officer regarding the performance of clinical staff and any clinical issues that arise Participate in Quality Assurance file review Lead Treatment Team meetings (documenting cases discussed, clinical decisions made, as well as client screening decisions) Participate in Child Advocacy Center Staffings, representing Mental Health program Model "best practice" in all areas of clinical work (discussion/processing of cases documentation and compliance) Participate in case processing activities with clinical staff Monitor clinical staff supervision of intern Provide input to the Chief Program Officer on clinical staff performance evaluations https://info.flclearinghouse.comJob Types:
