Job Description
Job Summary Advanced Surgery Center of Fort Myers is seeking an experienced, highly organized and motivated Administrator to lead the daily operations of our growing ambulatory surgery center. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong healthcare operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about operational excellence, team leadership, compliance and patient satisfaction. The Administrator is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the surgery center, including staff management, financial oversight, compliance, quality assurance, physician relations and strategic planning. This leadership role requires a proactive professional who can effectively balance clinical operations, business management and team development. About us Advanced Surgery Center of Fort Myers is a modern, state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center serving Southwest Florida. We specialize in spine, orthopedic, podiatry and pain management procedures while delivering exceptional patient care through advanced technology, efficiency and compassionate service. Key responsibilities Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure smooth daily functions in accordance with established policies and procedures Supervise and support clinical, administrative teams and other healthcare professionals to promote a collaborative team environment and ensure high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction Manage fiscal responsibilities such as departmental budgets, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting and cost control initiatives to optimize revenue streams Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation healthcare regulations, standards and requirements while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and long-range business strategies Coordinate with physicians, consultants, vendors, accountants and external agencies Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, staff meetings, staff development initiatives, retention and employee relations Oversee credentialing and employee benefits administration Manage facility maintenance, safety and operational efficiency Analyze operational data, prepare reports and identify opportunities for improvement Support quality assurance, utilization review, risk management and loss prevention programs Troubleshoot operational and interdepartmental issues in a timely and professional manner Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field required Minimum 3-5 years of proven healthcare administration experience, preferably within an ambulatory surgery center, surgical facility, or medical practice environment Prior Human Resources experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, budgeting, accreditation, regulatory requirements, HIPAA regulations and personnel management Experience with budgeting, invoicing, vendor management, procurement and operational oversight Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical records management and clinical workflows Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong strategic thinking, analytical and decision-making abilities Proficiency with healthcare systems and Microsoft Office applications What we offer Competitive salary based on experience Sign-on bonus available for highly qualified candidates Relocation assistance may be considered Leadership opportunity within a growing organization Collaborative and supportive work environment Paid time off Health, dental and vision insurance Professional growth and development opportunities The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care and operational excellence Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends 8-hour morning shifts Location Fort Myers, FL 33907 (In-person position) Apply today If you are an experienced healthcare leader looking for an opportunity to help shape and lead a high-performing ambulatory surgery center, we would love to hear from you.
