Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Adult Day Health Services to lead and expand our adult day program. A strong background in nursing management, acute and hospice care, and experience with assisted living or home health services are essential to drive program excellence and operational efficiency. The Director of Adult Day Health Services will be responsible for planning and administering the operational, fiscal, and reporting components of the Adult Day Care & Adult Day Health Program. Duties Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all adult day care and transportation staff. Develop, update and evaluate staff job descriptions and ensure the development and implementation of a staff orientation and training plan. Ensure the development, implementation and enforcement of all policies and procedures, to include standards for participant care. Is an active member of the management team and participates in policy and administrative decision making. Acts as liaison and advisor to the governing authority on behalf of the staff and participants. Develop programs in accordance with the needs of clients. Facilitate reporting client participation and satisfaction to client families. Ensure the integration and coordination between ADHC and the appropriate supporting services. Provide emergency first aid, supervise nursing and medical aspects of clients, provide health screenings and teach and/or arrange health-related classes for staff and participants. Facilitate Caregiver Support Groups monthly to provide support, education and coping skills to anyone caring for a senior. Ensure departmental record keeping is completed timely and accurately. Attend educational offerings pertinent for position. Keep Chief Executive Officer informed regarding service delivery, goal attainment and any other topics appropriate for the management team. Ensure compliance with pertinent state and federal laws, codes and regulations of the Florida Department of Transportation. . Ensure the Agency for Healthcare Administration licensure standards are met and renews licensure as indicated. Performs other duties as requested by the President and CEO. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in nursing required. 2+ years supervisory experience in an acute care setting or Assisted Living/Skilled Nursing facility.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of Human Resources and fiscal policies and procedures Knowledge of a non-profit environment. Basic computer knowledge. Strong oral and written communication skills. Active CPR Certification.
Non-Technical Skills:
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers, staff, and general public. Projects integrity and personal values that create and build trust and evoke the highest standards of professional ethics. Demonstrated attitude of professionalism and respect. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent customer skills. Ability to manage occasional stressful conditions and irregular hours. Sensitivity to understanding and support of mission of the Council and its core values. Good judgement and solid decision-making skills. Successful completion of a level 2 background screening.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
