The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance verification, patient scheduling, and customer service in a healthcare setting. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring accurate insurance and authorization processes. Responsibilities Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications for new and established patients. Greet and assist patients during check-in and check-out. Communicate with patients regarding referral requirements prior to appointments or procedures. Educate patients on authorization processes, scheduling requirements, and procedures. Maintain ongoing communication with the Practice Administrator regarding patient and insurance matters. Manage written correspondence with referring providers and physician offices. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule patient appointments. Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions. Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and perform general administrative duties. Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate. Qualifications Required Bilingual (English/Spanish) Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience At least 1 year of insurance verification experience Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment Preferred High school diploma or equivalent Medical billing experience (1 year or more) Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting Familiarity with EMR systems Schedule Full-Time Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM 30-minute lunch break Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Disability insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid vacation Paid holidays Employee discounts Join Our Team If you are passionate about patient care, enjoy helping others, and thrive in a team-oriented healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply.
