What You'll Do As a Manager Clinical Services, you will directly contribute to LifeLink's life-saving mission. The Manager of Clinical Services ("Manager") supports the mission, goals, and strategic plan of LifeLink Foundation, Inc. ("LifeLink") by providing leadership, operational oversight, and performance accountability for the Administrator On Call ("AOC") program. This role ensures the AOC team consistently delivers safe, compliant, high-performing clinical oversight of the organ donation process, from referral through allocation and surgical recovery, while maintaining a strong service culture and disciplined execution in high-acuity environments. The Manager is responsible for standardizing AOC workflows, monitoring performance outcomes, ensuring policy adherence, establishing staffing and coverage needs, and building a robust competency and coaching framework that strengthens decision quality and real-time operational leadership. The Manager collaborates closely with the Medical Director and divisional leadership to ensure consistent application of clinical and regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, OPTN, AOPO, CDC), timely escalation pathways, and continuous improvement to maximize every donation opportunity. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and interpersonal relationship development; promoting a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Serve as a visible tactical leader who reinforces accountability, operational discipline, and service excellence in high-acuity environments. Utilize professional judgment, discretion, and appropriate latitude to achieve timely, effective outcomes while remaining compliant with LifeLink policy and applicable guidance (e.g., CMS, OPTN, AOPO, CDC). Provide direct leadership for AOCs (coaching, mentoring, performance management, engagement, retention), modeling ethical, professional communication and reinforcing a psychologically safe, disciplined culture that enables sound clinical judgment and consistent execution in high-acuity environments. Responsible for AOC program governance and structure, in collaboration with divisional leadership, including AOC role clarity, scope, performance expectations, escalation authority, and standardized coverage expectations. Serve as a working manager by overseeing on-call/rotation scheduling and ensuring continuous coverage. Provides direct operational support on an as-needed basis, while maintaining primary responsibility for leadership, staff management, and departmental performance. Design and manage the AOC staffing and readiness model (24/7 coverage aligned to volume/acuity/operational risk), including fatigue-mitigating scheduling practices and contingency planning for surges, adverse weather, operational disruptions, and high-profile/complex cases. Who You Are Passionate about helping others and making a difference Aligned with LifeLink's core values of Compassion, Excellence, Legacy, People, and Quality Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an AOC or closely related position with demonstrated leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in clinical discipline or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Certification through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) preferred. Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal, required. Advanced technical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work within a high-paced and elevated stress environment due to the nature of work involving death and dying causing emotional and physical stressors. High levels of stress due to the emotional and physical demands of the position. Work independently and manage multiple competing priorities. Prolonged periods of sitting and standing required. Travel by automobile and, on occasion, by air to fulfill training, supervisory, or organizational responsibilities, as needed. Works in an on-duty rotation with regular business hours and flexibility to extend work outside of regular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability as operational demands require.
