ASC Coordinator Location:
Lake Sumter Landing Position Type:
Full-Time We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented ASC Coordinator to support the operational and patient coordination functions of our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless experience for patients, providers, and care teams from surgical scheduling through post-operative follow-up. The ASC Coordinator serves as a key liaison across departments and helps maintain efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and a high standard of service throughout the surgical process. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate surgery schedules for providers and maintain an accurate daily surgery schedule Communicate with surgical patients regarding scheduling details, registration requirements, and financial responsibility Support and assist in the preparation and completion of surgery charts prior to the date of service Support pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and consent preparation Partner with clinic and ASC teams to ensure continuity of care and efficient patient flow Review schedules daily and communicate add-ons, updates, and special requests appropriately Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical office experience required Surgical scheduling experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Knowledge of insurance, registration, and patient coordination processes preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and service-driven, with the ability to work collaboratively across clinical and administrative teams.
