This role works closely with the Manager of Health Services to help ensure smooth clinic operations while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and carafem's clinical protocols. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing respectful, client-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment. Responsibilities Client Care & Clinical Support Assist with client intake, education, and documentation in the medical record Perform basic client care and treatment procedures as directed by the Manager of Health Services Provide indirect client care and clinical support as needed Prepare, clean, and restock treatment rooms and clinical areas Administrative & Operational Duties Schedule appointments and maintain client records in electronic systems Process payments and maintain billing and financial transaction records Complete insurance forms and required documentation Maintain appropriate levels of medical and office supplies Compliance & Documentation Maintain compliance with carafem medical protocols and clinical policies Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, CMS, and state health department requirements Maintain accurate medical and administrative records according to legal and organizational standards Laboratory & Clinical Maintenance Perform routine laboratory testing and maintain required documentation and logs Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment Maintain safe clinical environments following bloodborne pathogen safety protocols Communication & Client Experience Provide courteous and respectful assistance to clients and visitors while maintaining confidentiality Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues Additional Responsibilities Participate in community outreach activities as assigned Represent carafem professionally in the community Attend required trainings and in-service programs Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Associate's degree in healthcare administration, medical assisting, or a related field preferred Minimum two years of experience in a healthcare, clinical support, or medical office environment Medical Assistant certification preferred, if applicable BLS/CPR certification preferred, if applicable Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional standards Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may also be considered Physical Requirements Exposure to clinical environments and safety protocols related to bloodborne pathogens Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and use of hands Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Clear communication skills and visual acuity required Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending account Health savings account Employee assistance program Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan with employer contribution Schedule Full-time Day shift: Tuesday through Saturday Weekend availability required Compensation Pay range: $22.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience Additional $1.00 per hour language differential for Spanish-speaking employees who are approved to provide bilingual support Diversity & Inclusion carafem celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all individuals feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. carafem is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
