The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by managing appointments, assisting with patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities Schedule & Workflow:
Coordinate patient appointments and strategically manage the schedule to maximize daily production.
Financial Coordination:
Assist patients with treatment plans, insurance verification, and billing/coding processes.
Records & Compliance:
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards using our electronic health system.
Team Collaboration:
Maintain a welcoming reception environment and communicate effectively with the clinical team for seamless patient transitions.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or patient care coordinator is required.
Software:
Strong familiarity with OpenDental is highly desirable.
Skills:
Exceptional communication, strong multitasking abilities, and a deep understanding of general dentistry and HIPAA regulations. Clinical Support (Optional Bonus): Previous dental assisting experience or a willingness to occasionally help the back office is highly desired but not required .
