Job Description

Job Overview Kulani Derm & Wellness Spa is seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Medical Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position with the opportunity to become a long-term team member based on performance and business needs. We are a fast-growing wellness and aesthetics practice offering medical dermatology, wellness, and advanced aesthetic services. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a team environment, and thrives in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and efficiently manage scheduleing, check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with basic procedures such as medication administration and X-ray processing Document patient encounters accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes Administer injections as permitted by training, certification, and state regulations (e.g., vitamin injections, weight management injections, and other delegated clinical services) Perform routine clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs, conducting physiology assessments, and supporting emergency medicine protocols when necessary Coordinate appointments, follow-up care, and referrals within outpatient clinics or hospital settings Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to infection control standards in various healthcare environments including Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, or Level I & II Trauma Centers Skills Proven experience in medical administrative support within outpatient or hospital environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing patient data securely and accurately Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic X-ray procedures Medical Assistant certification required; CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent preferred Current CPR/BLS certification Previous experience in dermatology, medical aesthetics, wellness, family medicine, or a related healthcare setting preferred Experience administering injections and performing clinical patient care duties strongly preferred Excellent patient service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate care while supporting our healthcare professionals. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
