The Regional Director of Health and Wellness reports directly to the Vice President of Clinical Services.
Position Summary:
Phoenix Senior Living is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Director of Health & Wellness to provide clinical leadership and operational support across a portfolio of senior living communities. This role is responsible for partnering with community teams to ensure excellence in resident care, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and clinical operations while supporting and developing Health & Wellness leaders throughout the organization. The Regional Director of Health & Wellness serves as a trusted coach, mentor, and strategic partner who works collaboratively with operations and community leadership teams to drive results and support our mission of enriching the lives of seniors. Essential Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Support Provide oversight and support to Health & Wellness Directors and clinical teams across assigned communities Monitor and drive clinical performance metrics including falls, hospitalizations, staffing, medication management, resident acuity, and quality indicators Conduct routine community visits to evaluate clinical practices and identify opportunities for improvement Support communities in maintaining regulatory compliance with federal, state, and company standards Assist with survey readiness activities and provide guidance during state surveys and inspections Partner with community leadership teams to develop and implement action plans related to quality and compliance concerns Leadership & Team Development Mentor, coach, and develop Health & Wellness Directors and clinical leaders Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning of clinical leadership positions Support leadership development initiatives and training programs Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Operational & Strategic Responsibilities Partner closely with Regional Directors of Operations and community leadership teams Review clinical and labor metrics and assist with identifying trends and opportunities Support growth initiatives including acquisitions, transitions, and new community onboarding Ensure consistency in clinical processes, systems, and standards across communities Participate in company meetings, strategic initiatives, and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare operations Multi-site management experience preferred Strong understanding of state regulations and survey processes Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving clinical outcomes Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills Ability to travel regularly within assigned regions
