Patient Coordinator for
Virtual Care Services Position Overview:
As a Patient Coordinator for virtual care services, your main responsibility will be to efficiently manage and coordinate the scheduling of virtual appointments between healthcare providers and patients. You will play a critical role in ensuring that virtual care consultations are scheduled accurately, efficiently, and in a manner that meets the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals. Your role will involve effective communication, organization, and coordination to maintain a smooth and seamless scheduling process.
Responsibilities:

Appointment Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule virtual care appointments between healthcare providers and patients, taking into account availability, time zones, and specific preferences. 2.
Patient Communication:
Engage with patients to confirm appointment details, provide necessary instructions for virtual care visits, and address any questions or concerns they may have regarding the process. 3.
Provider Coordination:
Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure their availability and schedule virtual care appointments accordingly. 4.
Scheduling System Management:
Utilize scheduling software or electronic systems to manage appointments, update patient information, and maintain accurate records of scheduled virtual care visits. 5.
Rescheduling and Cancellations:
Handle rescheduling or cancellation requests from patients or healthcare providers, ensuring that appointments are appropriately adjusted and communicated to all parties involved. 6.
Reminders and Follow-ups:
Send appointment reminders to patients prior to their scheduled virtual care visits and follow up to confirm their attendance or reschedule if necessary. 7.
Troubleshooting:
Address scheduling conflicts, technical issues, or any other challenges that may arise during the virtual care scheduling process, working closely with the appropriate teams to resolve issues promptly. 8.
Data Reporting:
Compile and maintain accurate data related to virtual care appointments, including metrics such as appointment volume, patient satisfaction, and provider availability, to support performance analysis and improvement efforts.
Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Attention to detail to ensure accurate scheduling and information management. Familiarity with scheduling software or electronic systems for appointment management. Basic understanding of telehealth technologies and platforms. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is preferred. Ability to adapt to changes in scheduling needs and handle time-sensitive situations. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Fluent in Spanish and English. Preferable experience of at least 1 year in Personal Injury.
