Duties Lead and supervise the dietary team, including chefs, cooks, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and safety. Manage menu planning with an emphasis on nutritious options tailored to patient needs while incorporating diverse culinary techniques. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients alike. Control inventory levels through effective inventory management practices; oversee ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction. Coordinate catering services and special meal requests for hospital events or patient needs with precision and professionalism. Implement shift management strategies to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining excellent service standards. Experience Proven supervisory experience in food service or hospitality environments, preferably within healthcare or fine dining settings. Extensive culinary experience including food production, food handling, and kitchen management skills. Familiarity with dietary department operations, menu planning, and catering services in a healthcare context. Strong background in food safety protocols, inventory control, and food service management best practices. Experience with banquet events or large-scale catering is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership ability to manage diverse teams effectively while fostering a positive workplace culture. Knowledge of the food industry trends, including culinary techniques and hospitality standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
