Patient Experience Coordinator STATUS:
Part-Time/Full-Time
REPORTS TO
Practice Manager The Patient Experience Coordinator will be responsible for light office work including answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility and general communication with patients. The Patient Experience Coordinator is the first impression of the office and must be someone with strong communication and customer service skills.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greeting patients as they enter the office, checking in patients and gathering/communicating reason for visit Answering phones, scheduling appointments, meeting patient needs in the office and over the phone Control the flow of patients in the front office Maintaining accurate records/filing of insurance in compliance with company, federal, and state policies (HIPAA) Perform verbal interview with patient prior to visit with OD to determine medical issues and reasons for their visit for communication to OD prior to appointment. Makes recommendations for efficiencies, processes, etc. which will deliver either quality, cost savings, and / or profitability improvements within the store and / or across the organization. Performs other duties within the store as requested and as time allows.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
High School or GED qualification Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment preferred. Effective & professional verbal communication skills to discuss prescriptions and treatment plans. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with co-workers and outside vendors to prepare concise and accurate documentation. Records and maintains patient records / files in compliance with company, federal, and state policies (HIPAA) Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, functioning for the good of the team over the individual.
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
