Job Description

Piedmont Crossing has been a vibrant, trusted senior living community in Davidson County and the Triad for more than 35 years. With independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, and memory care all on one welcoming campus, we offer a full continuum of care in a not‑for‑profit setting where people truly come first. We're seeking a Homemaker Guide who brings heart, leadership, and a passion for creating a true sense of home. In this role, you'll lead the household team in nutrition, food service, life enrichment, housekeeping, and laundry—ensuring every resident enjoys a clean, comfortable environment and meals that support their well‑being. You'll also take an active role in initiating and planning meaningful activities, both on and off campus, that enrich residents' daily lives and support their physical, emotional, and social wellness. The Homemaker Guide helps staff grow in their skills, supports the completion of care plans for non‑clinical areas, and works collaboratively with residents, families, coworkers, and volunteers to maintain a warm, respectful, and uplifting household. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on problem‑solving, fostering teamwork, and making daily life truly meaningful for older adults.
Minimal Education:
High school diploma or GED required with additional coursework in a related field preferred.
Minimal Experience:
Training or experience in RAI process. Three to five years on the job experience in a long term care setting is required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Successful completion of Feeding Assistant Training or ability to obtain within 120 days. A thorough understanding of basic nutritional requirements and liberalized therapeutic diets is preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and dining environment through professional infection control practices is strongly preferred. Certification in food handing as a ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager required in NC (or the ability to obtain the same within 120 days). Minimum age of 25 years of older is required for this position due to auto insurance restrictions. Ability to meet underwriting guidelines established by auto insurance carrier.
