We're looking for a Clinical Services and Boarding Manager to join our leadership team alongside Dr. Lau, our Hospital Administrator, and our Senior Receptionist. This is a role with real influence over how our practice runs — spanning clinical operations, boarding services, and team development. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Clinical & Technical Perform the full range of veterinary technician duties including obtaining and recording patient histories, collecting specimens, and conducting routine laboratory procedures in hematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and serology Administer and monitor anesthesia under the direction of a veterinarian; prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery Administer medications, treatments, and fluids as prescribed by the veterinarian Provide specialized nursing care for injured or ill cats Oversee the inventory and purchasing of pharmaceutical supplies and drugs, including the maintenance of controlled substance logs Oversee all boarding and kennel operations, including daily care routines, safety standards, and the guest experience for every feline visitor Demonstrate thorough knowledge of products, medications, and dietary items sold; educate clients on proper use and answer product-related questions Ensure work areas are sanitary, clean, and maintained to the standards of the practice Customer Service Communicate with cat owners in a knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate manner Maintain a thorough understanding of practice recommendations and protocols in order to answer client questions accurately, provide quality education, and present veterinary services that will benefit their pet Ensure referring veterinarians receive clear and timely updates on client interactions and patient care status Policies, Procedures & Equipment Ensure the hospital and all employees are compliant with federal and state animal health laws and regulations, including OSHA and DEA requirements Verify that monitoring and support equipment — including anesthetic machines, cardiac monitors, and breathing apparatus — is in proper working condition Team & Staff Development Lead, supervise, and support veterinary technicians, assistants, kennel staff, and boarding staff in performing their daily clinical and client education duties Build staff schedules that align with doctor, surgery, boarding, and outpatient needs while monitoring overtime and managing payroll costs; arrange shift coverage as needed Set clear performance standards, conduct timely evaluations, mediate interpersonal issues, and address concerns to maintain a productive and positive work environment Conduct monthly departmental meetings Make recommendations egarding personnel matters and disciplinary actions Identify opportunities to guide, mentor, and develop team members so they can grow within the practice WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience) Supervisory or management experience in a veterinary or animal care setting Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving instincts Clear and warm communicator — with staff, clients, and peers alike Highly organized; comfortable owning schedules, logs, maintenance, and compliance details A team builder who leads by example COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
