Professional) JOB FUNCTION
Administers health, welfare, and supplemental benefit programs, ensuring accurate and compliant execution and effective vendor and internal coordination. Provides operational oversight while supporting plan enhancements and program initiatives in partnership with the Manager, Total Rewards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administers health, welfare, and supplemental benefit plans in accordance with plan documents, company policies, and applicable regulations. Interprets plan provisions and ensures consistent application across participant scenarios, and provides guidance and consultation to employees to support understanding and informed decision‑making.
Oversees eligibility, enrollment, premium processing, and related transactions performed by vendors and HR Service Center to ensure accuracy and compliance with plan provisions.
Maintains and enhances administrative processes, controls, and documentation to ensure data integrity, compliance, and effective program operations. Identifies issues and implements corrective actions.
Manages relationships with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, brokers, and consultants. Monitors vendor performance, resolves escalated issues, and ensures service level expectations are met.
Partners with the Manager, Total Rewards to support plan changes, vendor strategy, and benefit program enhancements by providing operational insight, analysis, and recommendations. Analyzes benefits and wellness program utilization and trends to identify gaps, assess effectiveness, and inform recommendations for program enhancements or new wellness initiatives.
Ensures compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related requirements. Leads and supports internal and external audits, ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are maintained, including SOX compliance.
Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned, including any activities required to prepare for such emergency response. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Requirements Thorough knowledge of health, welfare, and supplemental benefit programs, including medical, dental, life, disability, and cafeteria plans.
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing health and welfare programs, including ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and related compliance standards.
Knowledge of insurance contracts, plan documents, and administrative practices, including plan interpretation and consistent application.
Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts related to benefits administration, including premiums, funding, and cost analysis.
Working knowledge of systems and tools used in benefits administration, including HR systems, benefits platforms, and data analysis tools. Skills Requirements Ability to work with a variety of individuals, occasionally dealing with sensitive, difficult, or confrontational issues.
Ability to effectively communicate instructions, procedures, and complex regulations to diverse audiences.
Excellent presentation skills to conduct and facilitate various benefits programs.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively handle employee issues and administrative procedures with internal and external resources.

Ability to meet schedules and deadlines with thorough, accurate, and neat work products. Experience Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration, preferably within a large, complex organization.
Experience administering multiple benefit programs (e.g., medical, dental, life, disability, and supplemental benefits), including support for open enrollment cycles and plan changes.
Experience supporting regulatory compliance (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA) and participating in audits or control-related processes.
Demonstrated experience analyzing benefits data, resolving complex issues, and improving administrative processes, including use of HR systems and benefits administration platforms. Role:
