Job Details Click to go Back to Job Listings Jun 2, 2026, 8:14:32 AM HST Title of Position Interim Assistant Patient Care Coordinator - ICU/CCU/CCFP/PCU/ACUTE HEMO Work Hours Temporary Full-Time (Req. #2026-166). Primarily Monday to Friday, day shift. Requires being on-call 24 hours a day. Subsidiary Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position Assists and collaborates with the Patient Care Coordinator ( PCC ) with all aspects of departmental operations including budgeting, planning, setting and meeting goals, and staffing for one or more designated patient care departments that provide medical, surgical or critical care services in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, The Joint Commission ( TJC ), and regulatory requirements. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships between nursing administration and staff, and has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for compliance to nursing care standards in the planning, organizing, directing and implementing nursing care. Works collaboratively with all departments and the medical staff to achieve and maintain quality patient care in a cost-effective manner, and promotes teamwork among all members of the healthcare team. Qualifications and Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum three (3) years RN experience in acute medical/surgical nursing required. Requires current Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification, with retraining every two (2) years. Nursing management or supervisory experience preferred; any combination of education that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
Critical Care & Progressive Care:
Requires annual completion of twelve (12) Continuing Education Units (CEU ) for topics related to nursing practice in critical care. One (1) year critical care nusing experience is preferred. Requires current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS ) certification, with retraining and recertification every two (2) years. Critical Care Nursing certification (CCN ) is preferred.
