Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on Patient Intake Supervisor to lead a small, high-impact team of ~4 Patient Intake Coordinators responsible for new patient scheduling and onboarding. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a player-coach environment—someone who can both guide their team and stay close to day-to-day operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless patient experience while driving performance, accountability, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership (Small Team Oversight) Directly manage and support a team of ~4 Patient Intake Coordinators Act as a player-coach, providing real-time guidance and stepping in when needed Monitor individual performance, coach to metrics, and drive accountability Foster strong collaboration, communication, and team culture Operational Execution Stay closely involved in daily workflow, including: Case management in Salesforce Monitoring patient intake queues and ticket volume Ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of cases Identify gaps and implement immediate, practical process improvements Patient Coordination Oversight Ensure team effectively: Processes incoming patient referrals from hospitals and clinics Conducts outbound outreach to schedule dialysis care Handles inbound follow-up calls from patients Documents, tracks, and closes cases accurately Performance Management Track and coach to KPIs including call volume, case resolution, and follow-ups Manage a high-touch workflow environment: ~20 inbound calls/day per rep Outbound volume varies (20-80 calls/day depending on caseload) Provide direct, actionable feedback to improve performance quickly Required Qualifications 5+ years of customer service leadership experience (manager or supervisor) Experience leading small teams in fast-paced environments preferred Experience in healthcare (hospital, clinic, insurance, or medical office) Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement Experience with CRM systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office tools High school diploma or GED required Work Environment Hybrid (in-office + remote) Equipment provided (laptop + monitor)
Schedule Full-time:

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
