Job Description

This posting is for the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Emergency Medical Services & Injury Prevention System Branch. The position is located in M anoa to Kahala on the Island of Oahu.
Salary:
$8,789 per month (salary commensurate with training and experience Exempt, temporary, full-time, non-civil service appointment. This position will coordinate, implement and support education, training, and workforce development initiatives for Emergency Medical Systems of Care personnel in rural and frontier settings. This position schedules and tracks training, supporting competency-based education, ensuring compliance with regulatory and grant requirements, and assists with simulation and readiness activities. The position will collaborate with Emergency Medical Systems of Care leadership, clinical educators, and healthcare partners to support a prepared, competent, and resilient rural emergency care workforce.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and completion of an EMT-Paramedic or RN course of training which equals or exceeds the curriculum required to obtain a Hawaii Board of Medical Examiners Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Certificate , and four years of experience in providing pre-hospital and emergency medical care at the advanced life support level, including or supplemented by two years of experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATES
: (1) Current Hawai'i Board of Medical Examiners EMT Paramedic Certificate (maintained current) or Current Hawai'i Board of Nursing Licensed Registered Nurse (2) appropriate valid driver's license (3) current State Department of Transportation medical examination certificate (maintained current) . The following Instructor Certifications ( maybe required prior to probation ) but are not limited to:
AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, NAEMT EPC, AHA PALS, PHTLS, ENA
TNCC, and
ENA ENPC. WHO MAY APPLY
