Responsibilities As a collaborative member of the Grinnell Leadership team, the Vice President Medical Affairs (VPMA) serves as a strategic physician leader focused on advancing the initiatives of UnityPoint Health

Working in close partnership with executive leadership, other physician leaders, and the medical staff, the VPMA helps align physicians and advanced practice providers around UnityPoint Health's strategic priorities while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The VPMA serves as a trusted liaison between physicians, medical staff leadership, and administration, promoting effective communication, physician engagement and accountability, and high-quality patient care. This role partners closely with the Grinnell's Rural President, the Market Chief Medical Officer and other executive and operational leaders, to support and strengthen Grinnell's role within the market and larger system. Qualifications MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in the physician's field of practice Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) Community Grinnell boasts some of the area's best independent restaurants, one-of-a-kind retailers and a quaint downtown anchored by the Merchants National Bank, one of eight "jewel-box" banks designed by architect Louis Sullivan, mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright.
