Job Description
Job Summary Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead registration and scheduling operations across the organization. This role oversees patient access functions for clinic, inpatient, emergency, and outpatient services, ensuring accurate registration, efficient scheduling, and a strong patient experience from first contact through care delivery. What You'll Do Ensure front-end registration accuracy to support clean claims, reduce denials, and improve overall revenue cycle performance Lead and supervise clinic receptionists and hospital clerk staff Oversee registration processes across all service lines Ensure accuracy of patient information and compliance with regulations Manage clinic scheduling workflows and provider templates Collaborate with Revenue Cycle to improve front-end accuracy and reduce denials Support Epic scheduling and registration functionality, including training and optimization Assist with upfront collections, estimates, and insurance processes Monitor performance metrics and support operational improvements Partner with leadership to improve patient access and clinic flow What We're Looking For High school diploma required; additional education preferred Experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, or revenue cycle Supervisory or leadership experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Knowledge of insurance processes and patient access operations Why Join VBCH Leadership role with organization-wide impact Collaborative environment across clinic and hospital departments Opportunity to improve patient access and operational efficiency Stable healthcare organization serving the local community To ensure your application goes directly to the hiring manager, please apply at VBCH.org.
