A Brief Overview As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating educational initiatives, training programs, and supervision activities within the clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, exceptional teaching skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Works closely with departmental managers and directors in the assistance of staff and patient needs while performing as an integral role in department operations, including but not limited to—assigning work and real time coaching. The clinical resource supervisor must be proficient with telemetry interpretation and have completed an EKG or Basic Dysthymia course. What you will do Identify and make recommendations to leadership regarding the best method for meeting the clinical needs of staff. Facilitate and provide coaching real time, for example, preceptor and orientation. Collaborate with leaders to ensure employees knowledge and competency are maintained and developed through attendance at appropriate in-services and required education Provide information to leaders by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Assist in implementing changes. Continuously seek out opportunities to improve the quality of patient care delivery through increase skill or competence. Work with individual(s) to identify areas for improvement or potential development. Provide clear feedback and positive reinforcement to improve performance Oversee the workflow of the department and communicate standards. Ensure that staff applies primary knowledge while performing all aspects of assigned tasks. Work with Clinical management staff to ensure that thorough and sound clinical assessments of presenting symptoms are conducted. Ensure documentation is completed according to department policies and procedures. Participate in training and orientation of new staff; provides ongoing clinical support. Evaluate employee performance and recommend personnel actions with leaders Instruct staff in work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment. Confer with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policies. Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Maintain required records of work hours and other information. Perform or assist with departmental operational duties as necessary. Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency. Qualifications Associate's Degree (AA) Associate Degree in Nursing Required Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred Board Certified in nursing education, professional nursing development, or acute care Preferred 1-3 years 2-5 years of experience in area of specialty department Preferred 1-3 years 2-5 years of experience in providing patient education Preferred 1-3 years experience as preceptor and mentor for nursing staff. Preferred Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record Strong organizational and time management skills Effective communication. Effective ability to have crucial conversations/coaching of staff Registered Nurse Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) (United States of America) Required Basic Cardiac Life Support & First Aid•American Heart Association Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support•American Heart Association Required Qualifications:
