Job Description
The Patient Advocate investigates, resolves, documents and reports organization-specific patient and visitor complaints and concerns to leadership and staff. The Patient Advocate collaborates with departmental leaders in order to ensure resolution of concerns presented by patients, families, visitors or other representatives of the patient. The Patient Advocate actively participates in the development and implementation of customer service and patient relations initiatives related to the facility's mission and goals. The DE Court Assistant coordinates court appearances with applicable counties for patients on a "hold" status. He/she will ensure the proper paperwork that each county requires is completed in a timely manner. The DE Court Assistant coordinates patient meetings with appropriate attorneys. Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field required. 1-3 years of relevant experience in a health care environment preferred; with experience in a Psychiatric setting preferred.
