This vital role involves supervising clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, and social work techniques. Ensure accurate documentation of medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Conduct diagnostic evaluations for clients with diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Manage crisis intervention efforts effectively while coordinating with community resources for home & community care support. Lead quality assurance initiatives by collecting data for research purposes, maintaining clinical records, and supporting clinical research projects related to behavioral health. Qualifications Proven experience in clinical supervision within mental health or behavioral health settings. Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing, crisis management, addiction counseling, and trauma-informed care. Hands-on experience working with children, individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and special education populations. Familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and CPT coding for billing purposes. Proficiency in medical documentation, medical records management, and understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health. Skilled in delivering individual/group counseling using therapeutic modalities like psychotherapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health Treatment Center | St. Louis Region Position Overview Karla Smith Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor. This position will supervise clinical operations within an established behavioral health organization that is entering its next phase of growth and service expansion. In existence for twenty-one years, Karla Smith Behavioral Health is an established organization with solid infrastructure, experienced staff, referral base, operational processes, and existing programming in place. The organization's new location offers an easily accessible, nature-based, farm-like setting intentionally designed to support healing, emotional regulation, connection, and experiential therapeutic opportunities. The Clinical Supervisor will help evaluate and integrate ways the environment itself can enhance programming, client engagement, and family experience while maintaining strong clinical and operational standards. This organization serves adolescents through older adults, with a strong concentration on adolescents, young adults, and family systems work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with these populations and demonstrated leadership experience in behavioral health settings. The Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the Executive Director and must be highly collaborative, team-oriented, community-minded, and execution-focused.
