The Practice:
Bloomington Normal Audiology is a local, independent, and well-established audiology practice making a real difference in people's lives through better hearing and improved quality of life. Winners of the Pantagraph's Reader's Choice award for Best Hearing Aid Center for 10 straight years, our patient-centered approach aims to diagnose and find solutions for hearing needs by balancing advanced technology with a genuine and personalized human touch. We are looking to hire a team member that can soon progress to an Audiology Assistant role, under the supervision of an Audiologist. This professional development track includes the opportunity for licensure via an in-house training and mentorship program, increasing both responsibility and earning potential.

The Position:
As the first point of contact for patients, we're seeking an individual who is personable, friendly, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. This position requires flexibility with both the duties and the schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Greeting patients, checking them in and out, and collecting payments
  • Using the phone and computer to arrange appointments and manage the office schedule
  • Accurately maintaining medical records and systems for patient reminders
  • Preparing daily charts and paperwork for upcoming appointments
  • Verifying insurance and explaining coverage to patients
  • Cultivating meaningful relationships with staff, patients, and their families
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of administrative/customer service preferred.
  • Familiarity working with the senior and hearing-impaired population preferred
  • Familiarity working in a medical office with insurance and EMR preferred.
  • Positive, motivated, committed, and self-directed professional attitude
  • Good organization, strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Consistent ability to work respectfully in an interdependent team environment
  • Ability to prioritize duties and coordinate workload in a fast-paced environment
Benefits:
  • Full time position (40 hours per week) with bi-weekly pay cycle
  • Competitive hourly wage of $19
  • 20/hour, depending on experience
  • $220 monthly bonus to offset health insurance (with proof of expense)
