is a dental practice located in the Greater Chicago area that specializes in periodontal care. We are dedicated to providing our patients with exceptional quality dental care. Our goal is to help our patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance-related tasks within our dental office, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating smooth operations. The Insurance Coordinator will work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Verify patient insurance, write narratives, submit electronic claims and pre-estimates and communicate the information back to the patient. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to claims. Enter & scan all EOBs and payments Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in handling patient information. Provide support to the front office staff in managing patient inquiries related to insurance matters Provide support to the front office staff with other duties as needed Experience Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred. Knowledge of CDT codes preferably periodontal codes Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and insurance representatives. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
