Job Scope:
Lead organization-wide training initiatives that strengthen staff development, support regulatory compliance, and elevate service quality. Oversee the full training lifecycle—from needs assessment and curriculum design to implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with leadership, external training providers, academic institutions, and internal program teams to ensure our workforce is prepared, supported, and empowered. Primary Responsibilities Lead the agency's Training Committee and manage all training programs and learning platforms (in person, virtual, e-learning, blended). Assess organizational training needs, identify skill gaps, and plan future workforce readiness. Deliver required trainings (e.g., Compliance, HIPAA, OIG, First Aid/CPR, Trauma-Informed Care) or coordinate qualified trainers. Maintain training calendars, training records, meeting minutes, and communication to staff. Conduct annual training needs assessments and use data to guide training strategy. Develop and track training KPI's, evaluate program effectiveness, and report outcomes to leadership. Ensure all trainings meet regulatory standards (DHS, HFS, TJC, CMHC, CCBHC). Apply for and manage CEU offerings, including documentation and trainer qualification requirements. Maintain training budget and assist with grants to support training initiatives. Obtain and maintain CPI and CPR/First Aid/AED Trainer certifications and provide required sessions to staff. Support new employee onboarding and deliver orientation activities. Serve as point of contact for interns and practicum students (if eligible), ensuring supervision and field experience compliance. Build partnerships with colleges, community organizations, and external training partners. Represent the organization at conferences and community events, and provide presentations as requested. Performance Requirements Organize, lead, teach and monitor orientation and training needs to optimally benefit consumers, employees and the organization. Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver information to develop understanding in those receiving the information. Highly developed organizational skills, thinks critically and problem solves well with others, has perseverance and is results oriented. Leads training program development and design activities, is organized and can manage large projects. Monitors expenses and compliance with established standards. Knowledge of behavioral health, sensitivity across cultures and across the life cycle, as applicable to those served. Effective and courteous relationships throughout the workplace, communicates and positively interacts very well with diverse populations. Demonstrates adherence to ethical and behavioral standards of conduct. Understands the importance of excellent community relationships, builds networks effectively and with purpose. Ability to value diversity, accept differences, apply cultural knowledge, and adapt to different cultural contexts Education and Experience Master's degree in Counseling, Education, or related field. 3 year's experience in behavioral health, or similar setting. Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating in person and virtual training programs. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills across diverse groups. Excellent organization, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software or LMS platforms. Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the training needs of the position. Schedule Monday
