BASIC FUNCTION
Provide supervision and oversight to an assigned team of Case Managers, including oversight of some support staff. Ensure that quality services are provided in an effective and timely manner. Assist the Program Director in oversight of Foster Care Program, as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure program compliance with all contractual, legal, and agency standards. 2. Provide documented supervision and consultation to assigned Case Managers in accordance with Council on Accreditation, Illinois Department of Children Family Services, and GACS policies and procedures. 3. Manage program resources in accordance with the budget as approved. 4. Assist with the development and implementation of the Foster Parent Implementation Plan. 5. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff members in the performance of their duties. 6. Plan, coordinate, and assure program staff coverage and emergency backup. 7. Participate in DCFS case reviews, court hearings, case staffings, home visits, and other direct Case Management work when necessary and required. 8. Review and monitor all reports, case specific documentation, expense vouchers, correspondence, progress notes, and other necessary paperwork for approval. 9. Ensure on-going communication with Program Director regarding service delivery and any programmatic and/or staff concerns/issues. 10. Train and assist Case Managers/Support staff with necessary job specific functions, as necessary. 11. Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports within required timeframe. 12. Maintain availability for crisis calls during regular work hours and after-hours time. 13. Complete all mandatory agency and job specific training. 14. Assist GACS administration in any investigation against conduct that is illegal. 15. Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise and oversee the day-to-day work of all assigned Case Managers and support staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and applicable laws. Overall responsibilities include, interviewing, hiring, and training program staff, in addition to planning, assigning, and directing work flow. Supervisor will also appraise work performance, address complaints, and resolve problems.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Attend required staff meetings, agency meetings, and such other meetings as requested by the Director of Foster Care.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master's degree in sociology, social work, education, psychology and two years experience in foster care. 2.
CERAP, DCFS
Licensure. 3. Good verbal and written communications skills. 4. No physical or mental impairments which would prevent, or render impossible, the performance of the duties of this position. 5. Sensitivity to the cultural and social economic characteristics of persons served. 6. A valid Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile insurance coverage. 7. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. 8. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials. 9. Ability to work flexible hours.
Pay:
$68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
