Full Job Description Director of Behavioral Health Overview:
A mission-driven behavioral health organization is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to lead mental health and substance use programs. This role provides clinical and operational oversight, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee behavioral health programs and clinic operations. Supervise clinical and administrative staff. Oversee Medicaid billing, documentation, and compliance. Ensure grant, contract, and program deliverables are met. Provide clinical support, including intake coverage and crisis response. Build partnerships with community and healthcare providers. Analyze program data and prepare required reports.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in a behavioral health field. Active clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LCPC). 5+ years of behavioral health experience, including 2+ years in leadership. Experience with Medicaid billing and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and communication skills. Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
