ABOUT MEDTEC
MedTec Healthcare is a mission-driven, for-profit homecare & adult daycare provider that serves the aging population in the Chicagoland area. We help clients maintain their independence through all types of in-home support (e.g., meal-prep, cooking, cleaning, bathing) and encourage lifelong learning and community-building through our adult day care centers. MedTec is experiencing continual growth and is investing in the internal recruitment process to improve its current operations with the goal of delivering the highest levels of client outcomes, accelerating its already strong growth trajectory.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for individuals with the compassion, organization and drive to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. Our coordinators help elderly clients find the right caregiver (i.e., homecare aides) for their daily, non-medical needs to live at home. Coordinators are critical in ensuring the well-being of our clients and the happiness and retention of our staff.
Other responsibilities include:
Finding the right homecare aides for our elderly clients in a timely manner Checking that matches are going well by conducting follow up conversations with clients & caregivers Entering client information into our scheduling software and working with the broader team to communicate and prepare for the client assessment Ensuring smooth, daily operations by monitoring caregivers for on-time arrivals, completion of client's plan of care and updating client and caregiver records Managing homecare aide's overtime & training Performing administrative duties within the office to ensure that relevant documents such as client files and plans of care (POC) are updated and in compliance Creating progress reports for the leadership team Serving as one of the main / initial points of contact for caregivers to coordinate rescheduling shift vacancies
TO BE A STRONG CANDIDATE FOR THE POSITION
