Full Job Description Position Objective:
The BCBA Clinical Director is responsible for providing leadership, project management, training and supervision for our growing Behavior Analysis department. The BCBA Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical oversight, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that all services rendered meet the highest standards. Assist with intakes, as well as discharge and transition planning for people supported . The BCBA Clinical Director also analyzes data collected by behavior clinicians to ensure program services are effective in driving the desired behavior change. The BCBA Clinical Director will actively plan and further develop clinical ABA programming with the goal of departmental growth and expansion. The BCBA Clinical Director is responsible for maintaining compliance with Illinois' Department of Healthcare and Family Service Rule 140, DHS, CQL, and other government regulations regarding programs associated with MRO and 56U billing. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Mission, Vision, and Values 1. To support the philosophy through the agency's mission, vision, values and strategic plan. 2. Manage all responsibilities based on the agency mission, using individual choice and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations. 3. To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts. Assistance to Senior Director of Clinical Services 1. As directed, monitor agency compliance with regulations, policies, produced accreditation expectations and other required standards. 2. Meet with Senior Director of Clinical Services regularly to communicate progress and needs related to the implementation and further development of the ABA program. 3. Responsible for participating in decision-making on an administrative level in conjunction with the Senior Director of Clinical Services. 4. Assist with the implementation and development of Agency and Clinical Services strategic initiatives. 5. Responsible for assisting with further program development, as well as the development of policies and procedures, program planning, implementation and evaluation of ABA services to ensure quality, recovery-oriented services are provided to all recipients. 6. Assist in development and revision of ABA policies and procedures. 7. Compile data quarterly as required per the strategic plan. 8. Responsible for timely reports and clinical documentation. 9. Compile data as requested. 10. Responsible for supporting the achievement of the organizational objectives as assigned by the agency's Strategic Plan Staff Supervision 1. In conjunction with the HR department, interview, hire, supervise, assign, evaluate the performance of, and when necessary, discharge assigned personnel directly and in cooperation with appropriate department heads. 2. Responsible for providing direct supervision and training to behavioral health staff responsible for providing ABA services, while maintaining supervision logs for each staff, carrying our progressive disciplinary action with assigned staff if/when needed. 3. Authorize and plan personnel requests for vacation time, leaves of absence, travel authorizations, change in position and in-service training directly. 4. Assure provision of personnel orientation, in-service and continuing education to increase the level of performance and maintain optimum standards of performance within the department. 5. Assure that all personnel are currently registered, licensed and certified. 6. Ensure that adequate and appropriate personnel coverage is maintained on an ongoing basis. 7. Conduct staff meetings on a consistent basis to review program operations, disseminate appropriate information and coordinate service delivery. 8. Hold staff accountable for assigned responsibilities, monitor compliance with expectations and meet monthly with each staff to review performance and develop plan of correct as necessary. 9. Provide supervision to student interns, and contract workers, as authorized by the Senior Director of Clinical Services. Program /Department, Development, and Coordination 1. Perform functional behavior assessments and develop person-centered behavioral support plans. 2. Provide individual therapy to supported individuals. 3. Provide training to agency staff to support the implementation of behavior plans. 4. Implement behavior plans as written; review and modify those behavior plans as necessary. 5. Complete ongoing data collection and data analysis. 6. Ensure billable services are documented and submitted in accordance with applicable rules. 7. Complete case notes and other required documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policy. 8. Meet billable hours requirement as determined by the agency. 9. Responsible for maintaining compliance with DHS, CQL, and other government regulations regarding programs associated with MRO billing. 10. Arrive to work, meetings, and all work-related functions on time. Report any absence, tardiness, or schedule change to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Personal and Professional Development:
1. Participate in meetings, committees, conferences, seminars, and in-service training sessions as requested. 2. Participate in professional development and training opportunities based on availability. 3. Ability to work flexible schedules to include some nights and weekends as needed for training and observation. Fiscal Management 1. Responsible for maintaining Key Performance Indicators for ABA services. 2. Will attend weekly supervisions with the Senior Director of Clinical Services and meetings as requested, participate in committees and individual events as needed, and collaborate on marketing and outreach efforts. 3. Complete required productivity targets on a timely basis, including clinical documentation, service reporting, and note approvals. Marginal Responsibilities 1. Perform other duties as assigned. 2. As a mandated reporter ensure all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required. Education/Experience Requirements 1. Qualified applicants are required to have a current BCBA certification. 2. Preferred minimum of 3+ years experience in the field of ABA as a BCBA 3. Medicaid knowledge preferred 4. Desire and ability to work under supervision and cooperatively with a treatment team 5. 3 + years' experience in the social service field and at least 1 year in a mental health program preferred 6. 3+ years' experience with persons with developmental disabilities preferred 7. Minimum of 1 year supervisory/managerial experience preferred 8. Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance Competency Requirements 1. Ability to manage others. 2.
