ABOUT THE ROLE
Solace Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. is seeking a mission-driven, dual-authority leader to serve as Administrator and Director of Patient Care Services. This is a rare opportunity to shape the clinical and operational integrity of a growing hospice agency — overseeing everything from executive strategy and regulatory compliance to hands-on IDG coordination and patient care quality. Executive & Operational Leadership:
Lead overall strategic planning, budgeting, and daily operations of all hospice services Ensure full compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state licensure, and accreditation standards Monitor financial indicators including census trends, staffing ratios, revenue, and expenses Recruit, onboard, evaluate, and develop clinical and administrative personnel Serve as the designated acting Administrator in the absence of the Executive Director Authorize and manage relationships with vendors, DME/Rx partners, and community agencies
Clinical Oversight & Patient Care:
Coordinate all direct and indirect patient services; provide guidance and mentorship to Clinical Supervisors Ensure interdisciplinary group (IDG) collaboration per 42 CFR Part 418 standards Oversee admissions, discharges, transfers, revocations, and care transitions Maintain HIPAA-compliant clinical records, statistics, and organizational reports Drive the QAPI program — evaluate outcomes, improve quality, and ensure safe care delivery Lead orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for all clinical staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (must remain in good standing; immediate notification required if status changes) BSN, or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration Minimum 2-3 years of direct hospice clinical or leadership experience Minimum 3-5 years of combined hospice or home health management experience Working knowledge of HIPAA adnThe Joint Commission Rules, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and QAPI requirements Valid driver's license and reliable insured personal vehicle Must pass background check, successful reference checks, and license and credential verification. Must not be excluded, debarred, or suspended from any federal health care program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MSN, MBA
(healthcare focus), or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification — MSN/NP candidates given priority consideration 3+ years of dedicated hospice experience with demonstrated Medicare benefit and IDG expertise Prior experience in a combined administrative/clinical dual-leadership role Hands-on experience using Kinnser/WellSky for clinical documentation, scheduling, and reporting
