Job Description

Lead Vascular Sonographer & Clinical Education LeadWindy City Veins Schaumburg, Illinois Help Build the Premier Venous Disease Program in Chicagoland Windy City Veins is a physician-led specialty practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. We are growing rapidly and are seeking an experienced Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) who wants more than a traditional sonography role. This is an opportunity to become a key clinical leader in a growing organization, helping shape patient care, clinical quality, ultrasound protocols, staff development, and future expansion. What Makes This Opportunity Different This is not just a high-volume production role. You will work directly with physicians, influence clinical operations, help establish best practices, and play an active role in the future growth of the practice. You will have the opportunity to: Help develop and refine venous ultrasound protocols Participate in hiring and onboarding future sonographers Mentor and train clinical staff Support expansion into future locations Contribute to quality improvement initiatives Participate in leadership discussions regarding growth and patient experience Build a long-term career path within a growing specialty practice Responsibilities Perform comprehensive venous duplex ultrasound examinations Perform venous insufficiency and reflux studies Evaluate patients for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and other vascular conditions Assist physicians with venous procedures including ablations and sclerotherapy Document and communicate ultrasound findings accurately and efficiently Maintain high standards of patient care and patient experience Participate in quality assurance and clinical process improvement initiatives Assist with onboarding and training of future sonographers Support practice growth and development initiatives
Qualifications Required:
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification or RVT-eligible Minimum 3 years of vascular ultrasound experience Experience performing venous duplex ultrasound studies Experience with venous insufficiency and reflux examinations Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff
Preferred:
Vein clinic experience Experience assisting with venous ablations and sclerotherapy Experience training or mentoring sonographers Leadership or supervisory experience Experience with accreditation or quality initiatives Compensation & Benefits We believe exceptional people should participate in the success they help create.

$110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
