Job Description
Leadership Opportunity in Crisis Services! With the opening of the Crisis Recovery Center in September 2025, the DuPage County Health Department achieved a milestone in building the ideal behavioral health crisis system for our community. We are excited to offer this leadership opportunity in Crisis Services as a key role in supporting the expansion and enhancement of the continuum of Crisis Services available to county residents who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. About Crisis Services & The Crisis Recovery Center The Crisis Recovery Center (CRC) provides 24/7 behavioral health crisis services to county residents experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis; and is the access point for Crisis Residential. With the CRC, DuPage County now has a best-in-class behavioral health system which ensures all DuPage County residents have "someone to contact, someone to respond, and a safe place for help" when experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Job Details An individual in the Manager of Crisis Operations position will manage the daily operations of Crisis Services to ensure that all crisis activities and programs are operating effectively and efficiently to meet client needs. The work includes supervision of professional level staff, along with the training and coaching of Crisis Services staff. This full-time position works 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm, with the ability to have flexibility to meet supervision needs of staff. The hiring range for this position is $82,950

- Tuition reimbursement and certification reimbursement #DuPageCountyHealthDepartment2 As the Crisis Operations Manager, you will:
- Supervise the work of the Crisis Services Shift Supervisors
- Serve as primary liaison for building related needs
- Prepare reports on operations and activities, monitor task completion
- Collaborate with other leadership staff to address priorities and needs pertaining to daily crisis operations
- Assist with clinical, program, or administrative issues
- Manage Crisis Services staff scheduling functions
- Make recommendations and initiative improvements to increase efficiency and improve the quality of Crisis Services
- Provide training and coaching to staff working with in Crisis Services
- Provide support and consultation to staff regarding unique or complex client situations
- Manage staff and program operations to effectively meet client and staff needs during urgent, unpredictable situations
- Collaborate with other professionals to support integrated care for clients served through Crisis programs.
- Understand and keep up to date on billing and related financial changes that may impact service delivery
- Participate in emergency response activities as assigned
- Review charts and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Work with a team of supervisors and assist in any necessary coverage to other Crisis Services activities
- Completion of a master's degree in Psychology, Social work, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in an administrative or operational lead capacity
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LPC)
- Previous experience in Crisis Services preferred
- Equivalent combination of training and experience DuPage County Health Department is an equal-opportunity employer.
