Job Description

Position Overview As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for surgical patients and play a crucial role in managing the patients' experience throughout their surgical journey. Your focus will be on delivering high-level customer service, excellent communication, and detailed attention to all aspects of surgical scheduling experience. This is a dynamic position that requires a blend of administrative skills, a passion for helping people, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities Patient Interaction :
Provide a welcoming and compassionate experience for patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and well-informed throughout their surgical journey.
Surgical Scheduling :
Coordinate a surgical date and time that works well for the patient, ensuring that all logistics are handled efficiently and accurately.
Medical Record Management :
Maintain and update accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards.
Financial Coordination :
Provide patients with surgical quotes including the surgeon's fee, anesthesiologist's fee and facility fee. Assist patients with understanding insurance coverage and financial policies. Provide clear information about costs and the billing process.
Communication :
Maintain open and clear communication with both patients and the medical team. Proactively follow up with patients to ensure their needs are being met and that they are satisfied with their care.
Patient Education :
Provide patients with necessary information regarding pre-operative care, helping them feel confident and well-prepared for their procedures. Attention to
Detail :
Manage all administrative tasks with precision, from scheduling to patient communication to ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
Team Collaboration :
Work closely with other team members, including surgeons, nurses, and office staff, to provide a seamless and coordinated experience for each patient.
Qualifications People Skills :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with patients, making them feel comfortable and understood. Empathy and the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism are essential.
Previous Experience :
At least 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably in a plastic surgery or aesthetic medicine environment preferred but not required. Previous experience as a Patient Care Coordinator a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures. Attention to
Detail :
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail to ensure patient records, appointments, and follow-ups are managed accurately. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and must have excellent follow-through skills, ensuring that patients are consistently provided with the highest level of care.
