Job Description
We are leaders in the long-term care industry, dedicated to fostering a positive, collaborative team environment while delivering high-quality care and service to the residents we serve. We are currently seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee food service operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality nutritional services that comply with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting resident satisfaction, safety, and overall well-being. This role is responsible for managing dietary staff, overseeing menu planning, ensuring food safety compliance, and collaborating with clinical teams to meet residents' individual nutritional needs. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily dietary and food service operations in a healthcare setting Ensure compliance with CMS, IDPH, OSHA, and local health department regulations Plan, implement, and monitor menus in accordance with physician orders and nutritional standards Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff Maintain proper food storage, sanitation, and infection control practices Conduct routine kitchen audits and inspections Collaborate with nursing, administration, and clinical staff on resident dietary needs Manage food service budgets, inventory, and vendor relations Address resident concerns related to meals and dining services Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required
Qualifications Required:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of healthcare food service regulations and nutrition standards Strong leadership, organization, and communication skillsPreferred:
