Job Summary :
The Clinic Coordinator has a multitude of responsibilities related to the efficient operation of the clinic. This includes scheduling, patient management, billing, obtaining authorizations and documentation, and managing financial pace of the clinic.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet patients, verify insurance and necessary documents are current Schedule and coordinate all appointments Manage all incoming referrals, coordination of care, and assist with refferal outreach initiatives Assist in the management of patient retention initiatives Process new patient referrals and communicate with referral offices to obtain documentation and coordinate care File all pertinent documentation Review, maintain, and facilitate Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policy updates as it relates to the clinic Create, facilitate, and manage necessary patient forms Assist in communication with hospitals, nursing homes, rehab, etc. to ensure proper distribution of post op and follow up services Submit documentation to obtain referrals, prior authorization or precertification of services Obtain necessary information for billing purposes and review it for completeness and accuracy Perform electronic or manual processing of claims Manage Accounts Receivables by coordinating with payers, working denials and writing appeals, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining current policies and procedures as it relates to reimbursement Assist Accounts Payable with invoices and other cost of goods related tasks Generate and maintain patient and financial reports Assist in data analytics projects Assist with communicty outreach initiatives Generate and maintain patient progress report and review weekly with clinical team Maintain and track fabrication work orders Perform Internal Chart Audits Oversees and maintains compliance of all procedures and policies pertaining to the Clinic Evaluate inventory levels and procure equipment and parts to maintain adequate stock levels as well as managing parts/orders for patients Verifies current certification and/or licensure of credentialed practitioners and/or facilities Participate in continuing education opportunities Other administrative duties as delegated by supervisor
Qualifications:
Education:
Two-year college degree in business and/or health administration preferred or two year's equivalent experience in similar position.
Experience:
Two years' experience in general clinical / office functions of a medical or health care office People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people to result in constructive working relationships Detail-oriented Basic computer skills and knowledge Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements and regulations Ability to develop, organize, and coordinate paperwork flow Excellent communication and customer relations skills Ability to handle heavy telephone traffic
