Position Description:

The Medical Assistant supports healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties in a clinic, jail and mobile medical unit setting. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, and collecting lab specimens. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Function:

Assist Medical Director with patients seen in office, local jail and mobile medical unit Around 16-20 hours of direct patient care and the rest of the time will be spend doing administrative assistance Prepare patients for exams, including taking vitals and medical history Perform basic medical tasks such as drawing blood, administering injections, and collecting lab specimens Provide problem solving counseling and emergency interventions Maintain and stock exam rooms with necessary medical supplies Handle patient inquiries and provide outstanding customer service

83 + $2.00 Incentive based on years of experience

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED CMA or RMA Certification Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to pass extensive background checks and pass drug screen Must have reliable transportation as this position does require you to travel with Medical Director to multiple locations
