Dietary Manager Location:
Indianapolis, IN & Anderson, IN (Travel Between Both Hospitals Required) Are you a compassionate and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) looking for a rewarding leadership opportunity in geriatric behavioral health? Assurance Health is seeking an experienced dietary professional to oversee nutrition services and support our patients and teams across our Indianapolis and Anderson inpatient psychiatric hospitals. Key Responsibilities Lead Dietary Operations Manage daily dietary department operations across both hospitals. Ensure quality meal service that meets patient nutritional needs and physician orders. Monitor food preparation, sanitation, and safety practices. Ensure Regulatory Compliance Maintain compliance with state, federal, CMS, and Joint Commission standards. Conduct audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure accurate documentation and dietary records. Support Patient Care Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and administrative teams to support individualized patient care plans. Promote a positive dining experience that supports both nutritional and behavioral health goals. Supervise and Develop Staff Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate dietary department staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service. Drive Quality Improvement Identify opportunities to improve dietary services, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality initiatives. QualificationsRequired Minimum of one (1) year of Dietary Manager experience in a healthcare, hospital, skilled nursing, or behavioral health setting. Ability and willingness to travel regularly between Indianapolis and Anderson hospital locations. Knowledge of dietary regulations, food safety standards, and healthcare compliance requirements. Preferred Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or geriatric healthcare settings. ServSafe Certification. Experience leading and developing dietary teams.
