Job Description

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 Our patients receive care from a highly qualified, compassionate team of individuals. Someone has to make sure these individuals work together to deliver the best possible care to our patients and their families. That someone is a clinical RN who works hand-in-hand with the nursing unit manager to lead the nurses and patient care staff of their unit. That someone is both compassionate and highly skilled, has strong communication skills, and knows that providing health care in a place that values faith is a special kind of calling. That person is our patient care coordinator. This position supports postpartum, pediatrics, and newborn nursery.

Position Overview This position has responsibility for Postpartum, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery units. What You Can Expect Professional development opportunities A faith-based, mission-focused organization 24 postpartum beds 8 pediatric beds Patient ratios based on acuity A structured learning experience in a fast-paced environment Collaboration to support and ensure professional nursing practice in a clinical setting Close partnership with the clinical manager to plan, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities Leadership in customer service initiatives, including rounding, service recovery, and monitoring employee and patient satisfaction scores Oversight of unit operations during the shift, participation in unit and supervisor meetings, and the ability to provide direct patient care based on staffing needs Qualifications Team-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) with flexibility and adaptability to meet patient care needs Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN must be obtained within 3 years of promotion into the position Current RN license in the state of practice or eligibility under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Minimum of 3 years of RN experience At least 1 year of experience in Pediatrics and/or Postpartum care
