Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Data and Hospitality Manager Recovery Cafe Muncie is a recovery community center dedicated to loving accountability, harm reduction, and barrier-free access to multiple pathways of recovery resources. The primary role of the Data and Hospitality Manager is to create a safe, inclusive, and structured environment where our community members can thrive. Roles and responsibilities of the Data and Hospitality Manager include: Cafe Data/Front Desk Greet all guests, visitors, and members with authentic warmth and hospitality. Assist in educating members, guests, and visitors of Café policies and implement loving accountability when policies need to be enforced. Provide guests with a warm handoff to a Cafe Companion. Enforce membership structure and model, maintaining fidelity to attendance and entrance eligibility. Actively record all attendance using the "Front Door" feature in AGENCY software. Supervision of greeters (interns or community volunteers) positioned in the front reception area. Administrative Support Record Recovery Circle and School for Recovery attendance Complete support documents and enter information into RecoveryLink. Input daily WRAP summaries. Input daily service notes. Input new and returning member enrollment forms in AGENCY daily and weekly. Distribute, collect, and input member surveys into AGENCY software. Cafe Space Support Assist with supervising Floor Lead(s) (Member Leader/Community Volunteer Floor Lead). Provide focused peer support and resource connections when needed. Assist with onboarding new community volunteers and interns on internal Cafe logistics. Provide oversight to volunteers and interns who are serving as Cafe Companions. Monitor Member and guest behaviors to ensure the Cafe is creating a safe space for all. Monitor Member and guest behaviors when accessing the smoking section. Ensure guiding principles are upheld by all in the Cafe space. Assist in coordinating and facilitating daily Cafe activities. Peer support through program delivery Facilitate Recovery Circles when needed (1/week) Partner with organizations to facilitate satellite and/or virtual Recovery Circles and NAMI meetings as needed Encourage and promote Member participation in School for Recovery curriculum. Assist in creating and maintaining new community partner relationships. Assist Members with identifying, creating, and implementing a person-centered recovery plan. Provide 1:1 support and resource referrals to members as needed. Actively engage with the Recovery Cafe Muncie team Attend weekly 1:1 supervision with Executive Director Attend weekly staff meeting attend weekly staff Recovery Circle Participate in required staff trainings Support team-wide effort to sustain a safe and welcoming environment Embrace and promote the Cafe's environment of welcoming and affirming all who come through the door, regardless of stage of recovery. Communicate and enforce Cafe guidelines, guiding principles, and boundaries with loving accountability. Provide guidance for Members and volunteers in ensuring the Cafe space remains clean and welcoming: ensuring counters and tables are cleaned after meal service and lunch, trash/recycling removal, vacuuming, bathroom stocking, small maintenance, etc.
Assist with communications:
social media, email, and text messaging. Serve as back-up Cafe Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrate principles of recovery in daily interactions. Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to explain Café expectations of all Members and visitors in firm yet kind manner. Ability to consistently serve as a motivator, conflict resolver, and "de-escalator" for Members. Maintain professionalism and clear boundaries especially during challenging situations. Work amicably on a diverse staff team with flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm. Demonstrate ambition and eagerness to help expand services and community of RCM. Ability to multitask to ensure all daily tasks are completed. Ability to work and complete tasks in a busy work environment. Ability to sit or stand in one station for multiple hours each day. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Personal understanding of the recovery journey, with at least 3 years of continuous recovery. Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire. 2 years of related experience. Hours and Compensation 24-26 hours each week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 9am - 3:30pm. $15-$18 per hour.
