In Person Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Billing Manager to lead our revenue cycle operations and billing team within a growing healthcare organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the billing process, ensuring coding accuracy, maximizing reimbursement, and driving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a certified coder with a strong background in medical billing, revenue cycle management, and team leadership. This individual will play a key role in improving financial performance, maintaining compliance, and supporting our providers and patients through efficient billing operations.
What You'll Do:
Revenue Cycle Leadership Oversee daily medical billing, coding, claims submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable activities. Manage denial resolution, appeals, and payer follow-up to maximize collections and reduce outstanding balances. Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including: Days in Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clean Claim Rate Denial Rate Net Collection Rate Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reimbursement. Coding & Compliance Ensure accurate application of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards. Maintain compliance with federal, state, payer, and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic coding audits and provide education and guidance to clinical staff. Stay current on coding updates, reimbursement changes, and payer policies. Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop billing staff through training, coaching, and performance management. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented team culture. Partner with providers and leadership to resolve billing concerns and improve workflow processes. Reporting & Operations Prepare and analyze revenue cycle reports and operational metrics. Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives related to billing and reimbursement. Collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational financial goals. Required Qualifications Current coding certification required: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) Or equivalent coding credential Minimum 3-5 years of medical billing and coding experience. Minimum 2 years of healthcare revenue cycle leadership or management experience.
Strong knowledge of:
ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding Insurance claims processing and reimbursement Denial management and appeals Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer regulations Experience with EMR/EHR and practice management systems. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in urgent care, primary care, outpatient care, or OB/GYN billing. Knowledge of occupational medicine and workers' compensation billing. Experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment. Familiarity with KPI reporting, revenue cycle analytics, and financial performance improvement initiatives.
