Job Summary The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in the UK College of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Administrator to provide strategic and operational leadership for a busy, multidisciplinary clinical department. Reporting to the Department Administrator, this role has frequent interaction with faculty, staff, learners, and college leadership. The Clinical Administrator provides leadership for departmental clinical outreach and professional services programs, supporting service line growth, geographic expansion, and sustainable clinical operations. The position oversees outreach administration across multiple sites, including financial management, personnel supervision, contract administration, and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with institutional, payer, and contractual requirements. Serving as a key advisor to department leadership, this role provides operational and financial insight related to resource alignment and growth initiatives, while also supporting faculty recruitment, onboarding, and related administrative processes aligned with clinical priorities. IEBC - Internal Employee Being Considered Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Preferred candidates will demonstrate strong financial and operational acumen, experience managing complex clinical or outreach programs, and the ability to translate strategy into effective day-to-day operations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to partner effectively with faculty, leadership, and external stakeholders in a fast-paced academic health care environment.
