Shift Monday - Friday, Day Shift; primarily 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed Job Summary The Dental Treatment Coordinator supports the delivery of care within the DMD student clinic by coordinating treatment transitions, patient education, and administrative logistics within UK HealthCare Dentistry. This position serves as a liaison between general dentists, dental students, supervising faculty, and other specialty providers to ensure patients receive timely and well-coordinated care throughout their treatment plan. Key responsibilities include verifying insurance coverage, facilitating financial arrangements prior to treatment, and coordinating appointments for procedures, imaging, or related consultations within the student clinic. The coordinator ensures treatment plans are accurately entered into the EHR and helps patients understand the clinical and emotional aspects of their dental care. They also monitor case acceptance rates and follow up with patients throughout the course of care to support treatment completion and satisfaction. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support the effectiveness of the DMD student clinic team.

/ Abilities The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and be able to communicate calmly and helpfully. Should be able to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, and/or administrative/clerical roles.
