Job Description

The Infusion Therapy Center offers a wide range of infusion and injection therapies in a comfortable, closely-monitored setting for pregnant and non-pregnant patients, oncology patients, and men. The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for coordination of activities within Infusion Therapy Center.
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
CHAA/CHAM
certification preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital and customer service setting. Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, estimator, transcribing referrals and orders highly preferred Responsibilities of the Clinic Coordinator include, but are not limited to: Composes, types and proofreads correspondence accurately (reports, letters, memos, etc.) for nursing team and departmental management personnel by stated deadlines. Answers phone calls promptly and courteously. Responds to customer requests, forwards and manages calls as needed. Distributes mail and/or deliveries to clinics according to department policy and individual requests. Assists as needed with insurance verifications, collection of accurate patient demographics and appropriate exam type. Transcribes orders and referrals/referral triage. Assists in ordering supplies from supply chain for the office and nourishments for patients. Completes Chart Audits with patient access representatives. Accurately maintains charge review work-queues. Problem-solves and informs management as needed pertaining to patient accounts. Schedules appointments accurately; obtains clinical history, data and orders; and enters and edits patient demographics and insurance data into computer system accurately. Makes follow up phone calls to confirm appointments. Manages the clinic calendar. Prints schedules daily and maximizes templates. Serves as a super user to the EMR system for all things scheduling. Serves as preceptor for front office staff. Orients new employees and new physicians on computer modules. Provides ongoing assessment of performance and any gaps. Provides additional training as needed. Serves as front desk team leader for all patient access representatives. Maintains production level, always taking patients in a timely manner. Works closely with the clinical lead to ensure the efficiency of the clinic runs smoothly from front to back. Acts as a liaison between patients and other departments within the hospital to bridge the gap. Cross-trains and/or floats to other areas as directed by management. Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
