2026 Position Summary The Clinical Operations Education Team Lead is responsible for providing oversight, collaboration, and leadership for clinical education initiatives within LOPA's Clinical Operations teams. This role ensures consistent, high-quality education, orientation, annual competencies, and skills fair programming for assigned job roles, while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and professional environment. The Team Lead partners closely with clinical leadership, educators, and staff to assess educational needs, plan training, and support the operational mission. Essential Functions Leads and coordinates clinical education activities for Clinical Operations staff, including orientation, new process training, annual competency evaluations, and Skills Fair participation. Serves as the primary liaison between clinical department leadership and the Education team to align educational priorities with regulatory compliance and operational goals. Develops, implements, and maintains core competency requirements for Clinical Operations departments. Facilitates monthly interdisciplinary planning meetings with Clinical Educators, Quality, and leadership to assess training needs, review process changes, and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement. Conducts weekly coordination meetings with the Clinical Educator to manage education responsibilities, timelines, and project priorities. Maintains oversight of training schedules, records, and competency documentation within the Learning Management System (LMS) and controlled document management systems. Oversees design, development, and evaluation of curriculum for continuing education and cross-training initiatives. Allocates one day per week to administrative duties, course content development, LMS optimization, and evaluation of training effectiveness. Collaborates with the Senior Instructional Designer to design, monitor, and assess system-wide training metrics and effectiveness measures. Directs the preceptor program in partnership with the Clinical Operations Educator, including preceptor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and ongoing development. Supports the professional development of Clinical Educators through mentorship, coaching, and collaborative education initiatives. Schedules and instructs BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses; maintains and monitors staff certification records. Participates in annual strategic education planning in collaboration with the Manager of Training & Education and Clinical Leadership to align training programs with departmental priorities. Delivers training effectively in both group and one-on-one settings to support diverse learning needs. Serves as a mentor to preceptors, providing guidance, coaching, and support in training delivery and learner development. Designs, plans, and facilitates simulation-based learning experiences to support competency validation and practical application of knowledge. Participates in structured process improvement initiatives to enhance training outcomes, operational efficiency, and overall program effectiveness. Collaborates with Quality and Compliance teams on education-related performance improvement initiatives. Demonstrates initiative in professional development by completing at least one learning activity annually. Job Role Expectations Provides monthly and annual competency reports to the Manager of Training & Education. Represents Clinical Operations Education on organizational committees, workgroups, and Training & Education department meetings. Engages in at least one leadership-focused professional development activity annually. Models organizational core values and leadership behaviors in all interactions. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Supervisory or Advanced Responsibilities Provides direct oversight of Clinical Operations education activities and preceptor programs. Maintains strategic oversight of system-wide training metrics, evaluation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentors and supports Clinical Educators in education delivery standards, program development, and LMS curriculum management. Work Environment & Physical Demands Primarily sedentary with use of hands, fingers, and visual focus. Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Possible exposure to packaged organs or tissues during office or hospital coordination. Occasional in-state travel may be required. Work Hours Full time position. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with flex time available at the discretion of the direct supervisor. Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical education, healthcare training, or clinical operations required. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, competency-based education, and training program implementation. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training documentation processes. Strong knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance standards relevant to clinical operations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Advanced organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. High proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based tools. Strong meeting coordination, documentation, and presentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision. Experience mentoring or training others and leading process improvements. Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
