Job Description

Serenity Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a detail oriented Medical Staff Coordinator to oversee physician and provider credentialing, privileging, and medical staff administration. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with CMS, state regulatory requirements, and medical staff bylaws while supporting the hospital's Medical Staff Office. Key Responsibilities Manage physician, advanced practice provider, and allied health professional credentialing and recredentialing processes Verify licenses, certifications, education, training, DEA registrations, malpractice coverage, and work history Coordinate medical staff appointments, reappointments, and clinical privileging activities Conduct and track required background screenings and National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) queries Maintain accurate credentialing files and provider records Support medical staff committees, meetings, agendas, minutes, and documentation Monitor provider compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements Collaborate with hospital leadership, Medical Director, and Governing Body on medical staff matters Qualifications Experience in medical staff services, credentialing, provider enrollment, healthcare administration, or a related field Knowledge of credentialing standards, medical staff processes, CMS regulations, and accreditation requirements preferred Strong organizational, communication, and record management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credentialing databases Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or similar certification preferred but not required This position is ideal for an experienced healthcare professional who enjoys working in a regulatory focused environment and supporting the delivery of high quality patient care through effective medical staff administration. Application Question(s): Do you have at least four (4) years of revenue cycle management experience within a hospital, inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF), long term acute care hospital (LTACH), or acute care setting? Do you have direct experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), LTACH, or acute care hospital revenue cycle environment? Do you have direct experience managing Medicare Part A billing and UB-04 claims?
