Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Administrator to lead and manage a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). Responsibilities Administrative and Operational Oversight Direct and oversee the overall daily operations of the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), ensuring compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), Medicaid, CMS, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and operational practices. Maintain ongoing readiness for audits, licensing reviews, surveys, and inspections. Ensure a safe, structured, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment for all residents. Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions when needed. Ensure emergency preparedness, safety procedures, and risk management protocols are maintained. Develop and maintain inventory systems for food, supplies, medications, and operational materials; prepare grocery and supply lists based on approved menus, resident needs, and facility operations; and coordinate purchasing and ordering processes to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained in compliance with dietary, health, safety, and operational standards. Intake, Admissions, and Discharge Oversight Oversee the initial intake and admission process to ensure compliance with admission criteria, medical necessity requirements, and regulatory standards. Ensure timely collection and review of referral documentation, assessments, consents, and required admission records. Coordinate with clinical staff, referral sources, families, hospitals, and managed care organizations during the admissions process. Monitor bed availability, admissions status, and resident census. Oversee discharge planning processes to ensure continuity of care and successful transition to less restrictive settings. Ensure discharge summaries, aftercare plans, medication information, referrals, and follow-up services are completed timely. Collaborate with treatment teams, families, community providers, and external agencies regarding discharge coordination. Personnel Management Recruit, hire, supervise, train, coach, and evaluate clinical, administrative, and program staff to promote a high-performing and compliant workforce. Ensure staffing levels, staffing ratios, and staff qualifications meet regulatory requirements. Verify staff credentials, background checks, and required trainings. Ensure employees receive orientation, annual training, and ongoing professional development. Promote professionalism, accountability, ethical conduct, and teamwork. Monitor employee timekeeping processes to ensure staff timesheets are accurately completed, reviewed, approved, and submitted timely in accordance with payroll procedures and organizational policies. Clinical and Program Oversight Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapeutic programming tailored to residents' behavioral health and specialized support needs. Oversee medication administration processes and ensure medication management practices follow physician orders, safety protocols, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the Clinical Director, interdisciplinary treatment team, healthcare providers, families, referral sources, and community partners to support resident care, treatment progress, discharge planning, and continuity of care. Ensure services are delivered using trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. Support crisis intervention, behavior management, and resident support services. Ensure resident rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality are protected. Documentation, Quality Assurance, and Compliance Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure all records, reports, and documentation practices meet licensing, Medicaid, and regulatory standards. Oversee quality assurance, performance improvement, and utilization review activities. Monitor incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action processes. Ensure timely reporting of critical incidents, abuse, neglect, and grievances. Review operational data and trends to improve service quality and compliance. Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, behavioral health, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, healthcare administration, or human services. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Licensure/Certification Valid Louisiana driver's license. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Pay:
