Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health and mental health services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and foster a collaborative environment for our multidisciplinary team. Your leadership will drive excellence in clinical practices, compliance with healthcare regulations, and innovative treatment approaches. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and supervision to clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards. Oversee patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing progress monitoring to deliver personalized care. Implement evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing across diverse client populations. Manage clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans. Coordinate intake processes for new clients, conducting comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate treatment pathways. Lead crisis intervention efforts and crisis management protocols to ensure safety and effective response during emergencies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by participating in clinical research initiatives, data collection efforts, and quality assurance activities related to behavioral health outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience in clinical leadership within behavioral health or mental health settings. Strong background in working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and disabilities. Expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, and trauma-informed care including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) support. Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding systems, CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards. Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical records management. Skilled in delivering individual and group counseling using therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy, social work principles, child & family counseling, and behavioral management strategies. Experience with home & community care programs and special education environments is highly desirable. Excellent case management skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary services effectively. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and promote a positive work environment focused on patient-centered care.
